Airplane Travel

Mena does not have a commercial airport, so if you’re planning to arrive by plane, you’ll want to search for flights into the following cities, then drive into Mena:

LITTLE ROCK IN'T’L (LIT): 2 hrs 30 min drive to Mena

NORTHWEST ARKANSAS REGIONAL (XNA): 2 hrs 45 min to Mena

TULSA (TUL): 3 hour to Mena

We recommend arriving early Monday, June 2, 2025 to allow you time to drive to Mena in time for packet pickup. If you plan to utilize our return shuttle to Mena at the finish line, it’s best to consider booking your return flight for Monday, June 9. This will allow you proper time on Sunday for the return trip, then make your drive back to the airport where you flew in.

Once you arrive, we will have a free parking place for you to leave a vehicle during the week of the event. If you plan to return to Mena after the finish, please choose our $75 shuttle add-on (available on our BikeReg page). We will store your bike bag. If you do not plan to return to Mena after the event, we will transport your bike bag in our luggage trucks so you have it in Heber Springs at the finale.

Car Travel

Those who travel by car will have a free parking place for you to leave a vehicle during the week of the event. If you plan to return to Mena after the finish, please choose our $75 shuttle add-on (available on our BikeReg page).

If you plan to be dropped off in Mena and do not need the shuttle back to start, please make sure everything you require for the week makes it onto our luggage trucks.

We recommend arriving in time for packet pickup between 4-6 PM.

WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HAUL SECOND BIKES.

rider Accommodations

Participants may book private accommodations along the route. The participant is responsible for arranging his/her own travel to/from any accommodations other than our designated complimentary campgrounds. We do not have enough shuttles or staff to haul luggage to privately booked lodging.

MENA - arrive June 2 (night before start)

Packet pickup is June 2 from 4-6 PM, followed by a fun pre-event party at The Ouachitas Brewery in Mena. Pre-event accommodations can be booked at the following locations:

QUEEN WILHELMENA LODGE (11.5 miles from start)

SUN COUNTRY INN (1.3 miles from start)

Mena has numerous AirBnB’s, as well. Consider coming a day early to explore all Mena has to offer!
